The number of facebook users in Egypt has reached 28 million in 2015.
The figure represents 31 percent of the Egyptian population, according to the sixth annual report on electronic marketing in Egypt.
The number of facebook users this year increased by 17 million on 2014, the report made it clear.
Ahmed Naguie, the CEO of eMarketing Egypt - the company that prepared the study, said it covered all segments of users based on their gender, age group and way of use.
The study revealed that Egypt is the first Arab country in terms of the number of facebook users.
Egyptian facebook users make up 29.47 percent of all Arab users.
Saudi Arabia, Algeria and Iraq all came second with the number of users amounting to 10.45 percent.
The number of Moroccan facebook users reached 10.03 percent.
