Jordan Television recently won the golden award bestowed by the Arab States Broadcasting Union for a documentary on the Jordan Hejaz Railway.
Director of the TV, Mohammad Tarawneh, who took part in the festival said the winning documentary tells the story of Jordan-Hejaz Railway citing sources such as people who witnessed it coming up at the time.
The film was inspired by an article co-authored by Jordan Radio and Television Corporation Director General, Ramadan Rawashdeh, and a group of Jordanian and Arab authors where they displayed their vision of Jordan-Hejaz Railway.
The film also highlights the railway track that connects Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Palestine.
The documentary was produced by Arwa Al Zubi, narrated by Fakhr Abandah and directed by Mohammed Al Talafeih.
