A group of separatist- Polisario has attacked the staff of Moroccan director Farid Regragui while they were filming a documentary in an area, 17 kilometers from Laayoune city, on July 26.
The attack caused destruction of studio equipments estimated at MAD 35.000, according to Moroccan media outlet, Alyaoum24.
An individual of the filming-team said that his colleagues were working on filming some shots in an outdoor studio, adding that they were surprised by the attack of the elements of the Polisario.
One of the elements has threatened the team to ruin the studio place if the team does not leave setting, accusing it of “fabricating the reality,” the source added. The incident has ultimately pushed the team to leave.
The documentary’s banned scenes were designed to shed light on events took place in the Polisario prisons.
The documentary, which is entitled of “Welcome to Hell”, has been supported by Moroccan Cinema Centre (CCM) with MAD 900 thousands.
