Chinese News Agency Xinhua Editor in Chief He Ping has left Kuwait on Thursday, concluding a two-day visit in response to an invitation by Board Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Sabah.
Ping held a meeting with Sheikh Mubarak and other KUNA officials to discuss an agreement signed between the two sides on exchanging news items and photos. Moreover, KUNA presented a plan to further develop the agreement by exchanging visits, covering national occasions and providing aid to the agencies' reporters.
Meanwhile, KUNA informed the Chinese delegation about its plans to open an office in Beijing, a proposal welcomed by Ping, who promised to offer all kind of help needed.
Sheikh Mubarak accepted an invitation by Ping to visit China in the future. The Chinese delegation was seen off by the acting chairman of marketing and public relations in KUNA, Essam Al-Ruaih.
