The US expressed here Wednesday its concern about reports of attacks on media figures in Hong Kong. "The United States is concerned about news reports about what appears to be another attack on media figures in Hong Kong," State Department Spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki told reporters. She said that "while the details of the most recent attack are not completely clear, we are troubled by a series of incidents over the past year that seem to target Hong Kong media figures." According to media reports, two media executives were attacked by masked men recently. Psaki stressed "Hong Kong's well-established tradition for respect for the rule of law and internationally recognized fundamental freedoms, including freedom of the press, remain crucial to Hong Kong's long-standing success and reputation as a leading center of global commerce." "We expect Hong Kong's law enforcement authorities will fully and transparently investigate these incidents," Psaki added
