A range of premium Russian general entertainment, documentary, news, films and children's TV channels have been added to the television offering from UAE telecommunications provider du. RTG, RBK, RTV1, Nashe Kino, Detski Mir TV / Teleclub, Karusel TV, CCTV Russian, and Rus ORTi form the new prime Russian language subscription package from du, available for a minimum monthly fee of AED99. "We are pleased to bring this enticing new line-up to du TV, bringing even more value to our Russian-speaking customers by expanding the number of channels we provide in their native tongue," said Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer, du. "Our forte lies in creating custom packages for our varied customers, tailoring our services to meet their individual needs and desires." The new channels had been provided free to air (FTA) until 5 January as a taster for those already receiving du's German and Russian FTA language packages. Du, which competes with Etisalat, operates mobile and fixed line telephony in the UAE, as well as internet and pay-TV services in some free zones of Dubai.
