The Minister of State for Information Affairs and Government's Official Spokesperson Samira Ibrahim bin Rajab today announced new media policy to be presented before the Cabinet soon. In a press conference following the weekly Cabinet session, she said that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ha stressed in his recent speech the importance of establishing the supreme council for media and communication in charge of laying out media policies. the Minister confirmed the completion of preparations undertaken by all relevant ministries to provide basic goods and food ration for the holy month of Ramadan, in the framework of the government's ongoing efforts to provide food and basic goods to citizens throughout the year. She added that the Cabinet discussed session a memo submitted by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce on the problems and obstacles faced by small and medium enterprises in Bahrain. A committee has been formed by relevant ministries to conduct a study on overcoming funding and employment problems as well as actions required by other institutions to revive this vital sector. Regarding Russian Ambassador’s call for Bahrain and the GCC countries to join the Russian national security initiative, the minister affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to all Arab League's resolutions.
