The Maldives National Broadcasting Corporation (MNBC) is to be the island nation's exclusive broadcaster for next month's biennial South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship in India. MNBC has been granted the rights by the event manager, World Sport Group, to broadcast SAFF Championship matches via cable, satellite or terrestrial transmission. MNBC will broadcast all 15 of the matches, which run from 2-11 December, via Channel One. Live commentary will also be available in the Maldives on Raajje Radio. The tournament features the national football teams from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Live streaming will also be available to online viewers everywhere except India on http://www.ustream.tv/SAFF. Indian viewers will have to wait for 24 hours after each game is played to see the matches on Ustream due to rights issues, however Ten Sports will keep Indian viewers happy with live broadcast coverage of all the SAFF Championship matches.
