The Egyptian press on Friday took up several issues of interest to the public opinion atop of which came Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC), which kicks off later today in Sharm El Sheikh with the participation of delegations from over 90 countries along with several Arab, regional and international organizations.
Al Ahram daily said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will put forward at the inaugural session of the conference Egypt’s vision for the coming phase in light of the available promising investment opportunities that will be floated at the conference.
The paper also indicated that president Sisi held a meeting on Thursday with Defense Minister Colonel General Sedki Sobhi and Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar along with Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lt. The meeting took up the security situation in Egypt and arrangements adopted by the different security agencies during the conference, the paper quoted Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef as having said.
Al-Ahram also highlighted the murder of 15 terrorists in Sinai and the arrest of nine others.
Al Akhbar also highlighted a visit by Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar to Sharm El Sheikh where he inspected the conference venue and his meetings with security forces assigned with securing the event.
