KUNA Board Member Kholoud Al-Faili has won the International Public Relations Association Gulf Chapter's (IPRA-GC) Vice President post, Kuwait, after council election of the association for the term of 2015-16.
IPRA said in a statement Sunday that the voting process, which took place two days ago, was smooth and successful in terms of compliance with rules and regulations.
The statement noted the position of IPRA-GC president went to Hassan Al-Hassan.
The position of Executive Vice President was occupied by default by Fahad Al-Shehabi, being the only candidate.
Rehab Abuzaid won the position of Vice President for Media and Public Relations.
The Position of Vice President for Finance Affairs went by default to Salah Al-Dhahri, being the only candidate.
Meanwhile, the position of Vice President, Qatar, went by default to Abdullah Al-Abduljabar, being the only candidate.
The winner of Vice President, UAE by default went to Shaikha Al-Maskari, being the only candidate for the position, and the position of Vice President, Bahrain, also by default went to Naji Al-Othman.
Vice President of Oman went by default to Ali Al-Mutani.
The Vice President, Central Region, Saudi Arabia, was Yaarob Al-Thenayan.
The Vice President, Western Region, Saudi Arabia, was Khaled Al-Towelli.
The Vice President, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia, was Khaled Al-Sufayan.
Mohammad Al-Kulaib was named Vice President for Membership Affairs.
Khaled Al-Khan won the position of Vice President, Training and Conferences.
IPRA adopted a constitution and the appointment of the first IPRA Council was made in 1955.
IPRA since then continues working to foster the ethical practice of public relations across the world, being instrumental in the creation of the Code of Athens, the basis of the codes for almost all PR Associations worldwide.
