The Syndicate of Journalists held Wednesday a memorial service for Al-Fajr newspaper's dead journalist el-Husseini Abu-Deif. Abu-Deif had sustained a gunshot to the head while filming clashes between President Mohamed Morsi's supporters and opponents outside the presidential palace on December 5. A number of political figures and journalists attended the service including former press syndicate chief Makram Mohammed Ahmed, Chief Editor of al-Fajr newspaper Adel Hammouda and columnist Abdullah el-Senawy.
