GCC joint meetings are essential to discuss media coordination among Member States, especially in regard to latest regional and international developments, a Kuwaiti official said here Sunday.Media coordination and cooperation must go according to a certain strategy that would contribute in achieving shared objectives, said Kuwaiti Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Salem Al-Sabah. His remarks came on the sideline of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) information ministers' 19th meeting, scheduled to kick off here later today.Sheikh Salman attended last night the meeting of GCC information ministries' undersecretaries, as he urged for countering "opposite" media.He also hoped for an "applicable and affective" media strategy that would benefit all six GCC countries and attain higher goals set by Gulf leaders."Kuwait has tabled many proposals during the preparatory meeting," he noted.Kuwait's Minister of Electricity and Water and Acting Minister of Information and Communications Salem Al-Uthayna is representing Kuwait in the ministerial meeting.
