Chinese media shed light on the four-day visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to China, his first since assuming post.
China Daily reported that China has supported Egypt by upgrading relations and signing five agreements.
The paper also referred to Chinese President Xi Jinping's call for enhancing relations with Egypt in the infrastructure, nuclear energy renewable energy and space during his talks with Sisi on Tuesday.
Egypt is looking forward to working with China in the Suez Canal development projects and luring more Chinese investments, students and tourists, the paper quoted Sisi as saying.
The Chinese radio also highlighted statements of the President of the Committee of the National People's Congress that upgrading Egyptian-Chinese relations to comprehensive strategic partnership takes relations between the two countries to a new stage.
It also referred to Sisi's desire for expanding scope of cooperation with Egypt in all domains, welcoming Chinese companies' participation in the construction projects.
Xinhua shed light on Sisi's meeting with presidents and experts of 40 universities, research centers and academies, saying such a step reflects keenness on boosting scientific and educational exchange with China.
It also referred to his talks with Chinese businessmen on available investment opportunities in Egypt.
