Vice President of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Faisal Al-Qenaei on Tuesday asserted significance of highlighting women's role in sport media, especially in Asia.
His remarks came before heading to Manama to lead AIPS's delegation tasked to oversee a training course designated for Asian women sport journalists; due to start on Wednesday.
Al-Qenaei, also Chairman of the Asian Sports Press Union (ASPU), said that the Union supports holding such courses in a bid to develop and train media skills of Asian journalists, especially women journalists.
