Having been first launched back in 2008 in Europe, the Opel Insignia is about to receive a mid-cycle refresh. Because it's the brand's best-selling car, it's quite important for Opel not to mess too much with a winning formula. As we can see the front- and rear-ends will be going under the knife for a minor nip/tuck. There will be new bumpers and lights along with some interior updates. We're assuming that all of these changes will also be happening on the Vauxhall Insignia as well.Lastly, we've been told by our spy photographer sources that there will also be some improvements in the engine line-up with lower CO2 levels as a result. No word on when the Insignia's North American cousin, the Buick Regal, will also benefit from similar updates. More than likely, the Regal will receive its own facelift sometime in 2013, possibly as an early 2014 model.
