Jeep’s latest handle, chosen by Jeep fans, has been applied to the Wrangler Unlimited following the Grand Cherokee, Compass and Patriot. The Wrangler Unlimited Altitude will join the Altitude special editions recently introduced for the Grand Cherokee, Compass and Patriot models. Based on the Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, the Altitude edition has a unique body-color hardtop married to black-gloss exterior appointments & a black-and-red interior.18-inch 5-spoke alloys with black-painted spokes add to the special appearance, which is completed by a Mopar black fuel fill door, matte black 'Jeep' grille bade and black tone-on-tone hood graphic. The interior features black leather seats, door panels, center arm rest, floor mats and steering wheel, all with red stitching.Like the other special edition Altitudes, the Wrangler Unlimited version gets purely cosmetic upgrades. Hence the 3.6-liter V6, capable of 285hp and 260lb-ft of torque remains intact.Priced at $33,740, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Altitude is available in Deep Cherry Red, Black, Bright White and Bright Silver Metallic and will be limited to 4500 units when it hits showrooms in May. On 28 April look out for a joint ad campaign with USA Basketball featuring Chris Paul during the NBA Finals.
