The 2013 Viper will be on the streets by late 2012 and will be badged as an SRT.There's been a lot of talk lately regarding the upcoming all-new Viper, and for good reason. According to a recent report, the 2013 Viper will be launched in late 2012 and won't be badged as a Dodge. As a way to help launch the automaker's new stand-alone brand, the rebranded SRT Viper will not only have plenty of power, but also several creature comforts the previous generations never offered. Despite the added bit of luxury, the new Viper will first and foremost remain a performance-minded driver's car.Power will come from a massive 8.7-liter V10 with at least 600hp. Another interesting piece of related information that came out is that the SRT brand will be re-opening the Viper's Conner Avenue production facility.Employees are already at work there for training and orientation, so it's quite clear that Chrysler is fully committed not only to SRT, but also to the Viper itself.Photos courtesy of SB-Medien via Worldcarfans.
