Motorcity, the sole distributor of Chery in Bahrain, has launched the new Chery Tiggo 2014. The new Tiggo is equipped with a prominent 2.0L, four-cylinder engine, which delivers a maximum power output of 137HP, said a statement. Its 16V multi-point electronic injection gasoline engine has been jointly developed by Chery and AVL and has passed the three million km road test and 10,000 hours bench test following European and American standards, it said. Dr Bijan Majidi, general manager of Motorcity Holding, said: “The new Tiggo integrates the strengths of SUVs, sedans, and MPVs. It adopts the sedan’s energy-saving performance, comfort, and maneuverability; introduces the SUV’s high reliability, all terrain adaptability, and finally, it integrates MPV’s flexibility and spaciousness, all combined with superior engine, AC and active safety technology and performance.” The vehicle’s storage space can hit 790 l on double folding the seats and the height of the luggage board can be adjusted up and down according to customer needs, he said. It is equipped with sound system, CD drive, MP3 interface, and 4-channel speakers, said the statement. It also features integrated vehicle body, parking sensors and large size disc brake, it added.
