German automaker Audi has launched in Bahrain its new A3 Sedan, a premium compact class sedan, known for ultra-lightweight excellence, strong drivetrains, and high-end infotainment and driver assistance systems. Winner of one of the most coveted awards in the automotive industry – the Golden Steering Wheel 2013 – the A3 Sedan has impressed with its technology, everyday suitability and comfort. Speaking at the launch at Al Areen Palace & Spa, Geetan Jessen, Audi Centre Bahrain dealer principal, said: “The A3 Sedan presents a very unique opportunity for the Bahrain market, bringing a number of high end features combined with competitive and attractive pricing. We have received tremendous interest in the model and have no doubt it will be a very popular addition to our existing range." Thanks to Audi ultra technology, the premium compact sedan starts with a curb weight of just 1,250 kg and length of 4.36 metres for the four-door 30 TFSI with S-tronic. The 425-liter luggage compartment can be extended by folding down the rear seat backs. Audi brings the A3 Sedan to the Bahrain with a 30 TFSI and 40 TFSI engine featuring power outputs of 122 hp and 180 hp respectively. Both engines have been overhauled to combine robust power with astonishing fuel efficiency. Both engines are paired with an S tronic dual-clutch transmission. The 40 TFSI is optionally also available with quattro permanent all-wheel drive. The A3’s 2.0 TFSI engine produces 280 hp and 380 Nm of torque and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds with the six-speed S tronic. The S3 Sedan will arrive in Bahrain in the second half of 2014 with a starting price of BD 9,440 ($24,880). Source: TradeArabia
