Mercedes-Benz has updated and upgraded the G-Class for 2013. The interior has been completely redesigned while exterior styling and engine choices have also been tweaked for a fresh new feel for the Benz affectionately known as the G-Wagon.The exterior reveals new LED daytime running lights, revised side mirrors, larger intakes on its bumpers, custom radiator grille with double louvers and a set of 20-inch wheels that feature red brake calipers.The interior features the German automaker's new COMAND Online infotainment system along with safety features like Blind Spot Assist, PARKTRONIC parking aid and the adaptive cruise control system DISTRONIC PLUS.Two new engines have made their way into the G-Class lineup. They include the G 63 AMG with an 8-cylinder biturbo engine and the ECO start/stop system as standard along with the top-end G 65 AMG with a 12-cylinder biturbo engine. The powerful G 65 AMG can put out 612hp and 737 lb-ft of torque. The familiar 5.5-liter V8 remains optional and delivers 388hp and 391 lb-ft of torque."Our G-Class has been a force to be reckoned with for the last 33 years. At the same time the design remains true to its down-to-earth, unmistakable style," said Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Daimler AG Chairman of the Board of Management and head of Mercedes-Benz Cars.The 2013 Mercedes-Benz G-Class starts pricing at €85,311 with the G 350 BlueTEC engine. The top-end G 65 AMG runs a wallet-bursting €264,180.
