US automaker General Motors Thursday introduced its newest Chevy Malibu lineup, the 2013 model year vehicle with an Ecotec 2-liter turbo engine. The lineup includes a 2.4-liter Ecotec engine that is not turbo-charged and the most fuel-efficient Malibu ever produced, The Detroit News reported Thursday. "As we launch a new Malibu, we're going to do this globally," said marketing director Russ Clark. The Malibu, which is currently built in Fairfax, Kan., is sold in nearly 100 countries. By mid-year, GM plans to assemble the car at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant as well, the News said. The 2013 Malibu is expected to get 37 miles per gallon. Its suggested retail price starts at $25,995, GM said.
