Based on the GT3 version, the 458 Italia Grand Am should be stronger and more spectacular.The Ferrari 458 Grand Am car will make its North American debut at the 24 hours of Daytona on the last weekend of January.The Grand Am version, with its V8 engine and 500hp on tap, is more powerful than the GT3 version on which it is based.The car will be run by team AF Waltrip, which is an ad-hoc combination between Michael Waltrip Racing and AF Corse from Italy. The two teams cooperated at the last 24 hours of Le Mans race.The car will be raced by Martin Waltrip, Robert Kaufmann, Rui Aguas and North American Rally Champion Travis Pastrana.The 2012 24 hours of Daytona will be the 50th edition of the event.
