This heavily modified CTS-V sedan is one serious supercharged American weapon. Named after the US military's high-tech missile defense system, the D3 Cadillac Patriot Missile, based on the supercharged 2010 CTS-V sedan, is all about precision, accuracy and power.Wanting more power from his already potent car in order that it could blow the competition away on the racetrack for the Cadillac Challenge, the owner opted for a full D3 Stage 4 Tuner Power Kit. The first step was to upgrade the cooling system to ensure the car could compete for an entire race.As such, a new aluminum radiator with an improved core and premium materials to better transfer heat was installed, as was a bigger intercooler and intercooler pump.Power upgrades could then be undertaken, which came in the form of an enhanced supercharger, new spark plugs, wires, exhaust headers and a reprogrammed ECU. The result was 30 percent more power output for a total of 700hp and 700lb-ft of torque.Improved precision on the racetrack comes courtesy of an upgraded chassis. The stock suspension was upgraded with D3 Cadillac-spec KW Variant 3 coilovers, adjustable endlinks, chassis bracing, and D3 Cadillac sway bars. Braking power was improved with new high-performance brake pads and rotors, and the finishing touch was a set of new Toyo Proxes R888 tires for uncompromising grip.Wearing a matte silver center that runs from the front bumper to the trunk and blue painted brake calipers, the D3 Cadillac Patriot Missile CTS-V will also look the part when it compete in the 2012 Cadillac Challenge later this year.
