Planning a trip to the UK? Arrange for a supercar to meet you at the airport. The British arm of Hertz has partnered with Premiere Velocity in order to add a selection of supercars to their range of rental vehicles. So if you are considering a trip to Europe's finest island think about investing in a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or better still a McLaren for a day (or two) of unbridled joy.Available for pick-up from all the major airports, the cars on offer include a Ferrari 458 Italia and California, Porsche Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet, Aston Martin DB9 and Rapide, Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster, and Bentley Continental GTC.However the Lamborghini LP560-4 Bicolore and the monstrous McLaren MP4-12C are the supercars that are really going to turn heads at departures.Of course holidaying in Europe is never cheap, and with prices ranging from $235 a day to just over $1,400 for the big bad McLaren, you're going to need a hefty holiday budget for these rental rides.Alternatively you could opt for one of the more affordable prestige and luxury cars, such as a Range Rover Evoque, Rolls Royce Phantom and Porsche Cayenne, any of which would make for a pleasent ride around the British countryside. In addition to a sizeable bank balance, you'll need to be aged between 25 and 70, have a valid UK or international license held for at least two years and with no more than six points, and a substantial security deposit. For an additional premium, the cars can be taken out of the UK and extra drivers can be included, but you don't want to be late returning these beautiful beasts. Just an hour over the alloted 24 will result in an extra day's charge, which in some cases will be the equivalent of a week in a five-star hotel.
