Milan - Arabstoday

Is it necessary? No, but a Lamborghini sedan would still be quite something. However, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann put the super sedan on hold mainly because he didn't have a "suitable platform....but we see the more potential in a sport-utility vehicle encapsulating typical Lamborghini attributes."Now that the Aventador has successfully been launched and the Gallardo replacement is just around the corner, Lamborghini has some freedom regarding the expansion of their lineup. We're guessing to see a production Urus (if the name stays) ready to go sometime in 2014.Because Lamborghini is also a part of the VW Group empire, we can't imagine that they can't find the right platform for the Estoque somewhere. Our suggestion (and obvious choice): the Volkswagen Phaeton sedan, which is capable of handling the 6.0-liter W12 engine. Whether this engine or something else is used, the point is that if Lamborghini feels there's a market for the Estoque, they may already have the tools necessary to make it happen.Photos displayed are of the 2008 Lamborghini Estoque Concept. The biggest news of this week's Beijing Motor Show was undoubtedly the unveiling of Lamborghini's much-anticipated Urus SUV concept. By and large, it seems to have delivered what many had hoped for, such as all-wheel-drive, a 5.2-liter V10 and a striking design. But it wasn't so long ago that Lamborghini displayed their sedan concept, called the Estoque. First shown at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, the Estoque certainly looked the part and judging by many factors, it seemed nearly production ready.
