In the week of "Clean Air" in Iran, IKCO announced that its domestic cars will meet Euro IV requirements from next year on. During a ceremony in the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade this week, Iran's largest carmaker, the Iran-Khodro Company (IKCO), showcased some Euro IV adapted cars. Fuel efficient and eco-friendly cars are at the focal point of IKCO concentration. Relying upon the scientific and technical knowledge of Iranian experts, IKCO has taken good steps towards the promotion of its engines' standards to Euro IV. The company had previously announced that it would implement its cars' standards promotion in the first quarter of the next Iranian calendar year to start March 21 as scheduled. IKCO can currently pre-produce Peugeot 206, 207i, Tondar 90 and Soren that meet Euro IV standard requirements. The ceremony was held on January 19 and IKCO showcased Euro IV-adapted Peugeot 207i, Peugeot 206 sedan, Soren, micro-hybrid Samand, Dena and Runna.
