The National Centre for Meteorology & Seismology (NCMS) has predicted a windy weather in the UAE on Friday and Saturday due to low pressure persisted over the north and east of Iran and an extension of high pressure coming from the northwest, namely, the northern and central parts of Saudi Arabia. It advised motorists to take precautions on roads due to the expected bad horizontal visibility, and those who suffers from asthma to avoid exposure to the dust. According to a statement issued today, the NCMS forecast that the temperatures will continue to rise over the country on Friday, and the weather will remain dusty in general. The NCMS expected that the country will be affected by an extension of low pressure persisted over the north and east of Iran and an extension of high pressure coming from the northwest (northern and central Saudi Arabia). This system will cause a fresh northwesterly wind flow, becoming strong at times especially over the sea and the western region, and will move gradually towards the rest of the areas & will cause blowing dust/sand over the scattered open land areas, which will lead to a poor visibility. The sea will be rough to very rough with a remarkable drop in the temperatures over most areas of the country. The last two days saw an extension of low pressure from the eastern parts of Saudi Arabia which caused an increase in temperatures, noticeable over some areas particularly the western and interior areas like Al Jazeera B.G. where it was recorded 37 C and Owtaid 36.9 C, and the weather remained dusty over those areas. The (NCMS) also warns of sea clubbing due to severe disturbance starting from Saturday morning up to Tuesday noon.
