H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has affirmed the UAE's support for the anti-Iranian nuclear programme measures taken by US President Donald Trump, in a meeting with Yukiya Amano, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Methods of boosting cooperation between the UAE and the international organisation were the crux of the meeting which was held on the sidelines of the International Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Power in the 21st Century, which started in the UAE capital today.
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah doubled on the importance of strengthening the current partnership between the two sides and intensifying the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
Amano commended the UAE's peaceful nuclear energy programme, underlining the importance of keeping the current channels of cooperation between the IAEA and the UAE.
The meeting was attended by Hamad Al Kaabi, UAE's permanent representative to the international agency.
