Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Wednesday witnessed the signing of two memoranda of understanding to generate electricity.
The first memo was signed between Egypt’s Electricity Holding Company and the Alliance of Orascom and Saudi Aybak Company.
This memo is meant to establish a power plant fueled by coal, with a capacity ranging between 2,400 and 3,000 MW in the Red Sea province.
The Second memo was inked between Egypt’s Electricity Holding Company and the UAE Combustors to rehabilitate upgrade and operate a number of plants nationwide.
