Kuwait's Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Ali Al-Omair asserted here on Monday the importance of the '19th Middle East Oil and Gas Show and Conference (MOES 2015)' as it contains important files and themes pertinent to the oil field with the presence of international oil companies.
The theme of the conference is "Energy Beyond Limits Through Innovation and Collaboration".
Al-Omair said the conference this year was different than previous rounds as it included an open seminar for a number of international oil ministers and officials held for the first time in the history of the conference since its inception in 1979 dealing with the latest oil developments in the world.
He added that the exhibition is an opportunity for all companies, including Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to participate in the exhibition for the latest developments in the world oil industry, in addition to submitting specialized scientific papers.
For his part, Chief Executive Officer of KOC Hashim Hashim told (KUNA) that the company is keen to participate in these conferences and exhibitions because of their importance and to become acquainted with the latest technology used in the oil industry, as well as to exchange experiences with other oil companies taking part in the exhibition.
On the company's objectives for the next stage, he pointed to the presence of a long-term strategy, which aims to raise production capacity in 2020 to 3.65 million barrels per day, expecting that production capacity in 2015-2016 would reach nearly 3.15 million barrels per day.
