A 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit 177km SE of L'Esperance Rock in northern New Zealand at 0402 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 32.5504 degrees south latitude and 177.5591 degrees west longitude.
