A 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit Western Rwanda on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake struck 26 km from Cyangugu on the Rwanda-Congo border at 16:11 p.m. local time, with a depth of 10 km, the USGS said.
There were no deaths but at least 14 people were injured and a few houses destroyed, according to local officials.
The injured were admitted at Gihundwe hospital, but assessment of general damages was still ongoing.
