UAE, Qatar sign MoU on residency and foreigners' affairs

The UAE and Qatar Ministries of Interior, have signed Memorandum of Understanding on residency and foreigners' affairs on the sidelines of the First UAE- Qatar Joint Security Committee Meeting, held recently in the Qatari capital, Doha.

The meeting was part of the Joint Higher Committee between the two countries.

Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior signed on behalf of the UAE, while Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, Director-General of Public Security signed on behalf of Qatar.

The MoU aims to boost the existing cooperation and coordination between the two parties, as well as exchange of expertise and best practices in the areas of residency and foreigners affairs. It also calls for attending conferences, lectures and technical workshops.
