Kuwaiti divers remove 6 tons of waste off Fahaheel

Kuwaiti divers lifted six tons of waste from the shore of Fahaheel beach, as part of a large-scale campaign to clean up the national beaches.
Walid Al-Shatti, the head of the team, affiliated to the Environmental Voluntary Foundation (EVF), told KUNA on Saturday that the abandoned items were all considered quite harmful to the marine environment and living creatures' habitat.
The team in coordination with several authorities have already removed hundreds of tons of neglected materials deemed harmful to the marine environment, said the official, adding tat the final phase of the campaign has concluded.
