H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Environment Agency, EAD, has met with Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi Al Falasi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Environment Agency.
Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak, Secretary- General of the EAD also attended the meeting.
Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on the forest management strategy, and its application that was adopted in 2014 and aims to raise the effectiveness of forest management by focusing on several issues, most notably the optimal utilisation of water.
The meeting also touched on strengthening the role of forests in protecting the infrastructure and the diversification of forest uses such as recreational activities and turn them into productive forests to enhance their role in food security and scientific research.
