Egypt has agreed with Japan to boost cooperation in the fields of food security and to benefit from the Japanese expertise in the field of fish farms and land reclamation.
This came during a meeting between Egyptian Agriculture Minister Essam Fayed and the Japanese deputy agriculture minister on Monday.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of Egypt's participation in the meetings of the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) in Berlin.
"Egypt needs Japan's experience for a number of projects, including establishing fish farms in the Suez Canal development corridor, the new Egyptian countryside project and a 1.5 million feddan project," the minister added.
