"It also aims to raise awareness amongst police staff members and the community regarding the importance of green applications in maintaining a sustainable environment for the coming generations. The Abu Dhabi Police are committed to their responsibilities towards the community and are keen to act in accordance with the strategy that seeks to achieve the best quality of life for all individuals," he said.
He added that the initiative includes two phases, and that the first phase has been completed. He said, "The initiative uses modern media, such as social networking, which caters to a wide audience. Graphics have additionally played an important role in clarifying and simplifying the concepts of green applications for a wide sector of the community."
To measure the results from the media campaign conducted through the framework of the initiative, Major Badran referred to an online survey that will be made available to the public in order to identify the achievements of the initiative and the level of awareness for employees and community members.
He pointed out that the initiative will be directed at various sectors of the community and its institutions by focusing on ways to save energy by reducing electricity and water consumption on a daily basis.
