The St. Regis Shenzhen, now the world’s tallest St. Regis hotel and the tallest building in the city, has opened. Following recent openings in Bangkok, Tianjin and Sanya Yalong Bay, The St. Regis Shenzhen marks the brand’s fourth hotel opening in Asia this year with additional plans to debut globally. The St. Regis Doha, The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, The St. Regis Mauritius Resort, The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and the newly renovated St. Regis Aspen Resort, are all scheduled to open in the next six months. “We are eager to debut The St. Regis Shenzhen to both international travellers and the local community,” said general manager, Stephen Ford. “With our superb location, sophisticated service and refined elegance, we look forward to offering guests an unparalleled experience both befitting of the destination and true to the St. Regis legacy.” Designed by famed architect Sir Terry Farrell, The St. Regis Shenzhen in Kingkey 100 is destined to become one of the defining silhouettes on the city’s dynamic skyline, occupying the top 28 floors of the 100-story landmark building. The hotel offers guests a choice of 257 rooms and 40 suites with views over the city, a sprawling Iridium Spa, restaurants and lounge. Ranging in size from 40 to 325 square meters, each guest room and suite features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views of the city. The guest rooms feature luxurious beds with 300-count Egyptian linens, lush bath towels and robes, flat screen cable televisions and wireless internet access. Additionally, The St. Regis Shenzhen is one of the first hotel in the city to provide fully customized iPad2 remote controls in each room allowing guests to easily connect and manage all of the room’s amenities. A wide array of restaurants and lounges are situated on the top floors of The St. Regis Shenzhen. Located on the 96th floor, The St. Regis Bar and the Drawing Room bring back the hotel glamour of the early 20th century with classic cocktails and the enduring tradition of St. Regis’ Signature Afternoon Tea. On the 95th floor Social offers all day dining featuring international cuisine while Elba, on the 99th floor, offers authentic Mediterranean dining and fine wines. Decanter, on the 100th floor, is a sky-high urban wine bar offering one of Shenzhen’s largest selections of wines and a private tasting room for small gatherings. The penthouse level houses Malt and Library, a unique whisky and cigar bar featuring an extensive menu of single malts served with Cubansding views. Exclusive to St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, the Iridium Spa located on the 75th floor, covers 700 square meters and features eight treatment suites, including two large couples suites and a Vichy Shower suite. Just adjacent to the spa, a 28-meter indoor infinity pool seems to “spill” out over the city with a floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel offers 2,100 square meters of meeting and function space, including a ballroom and eight separate event rooms.
