Eighty-one outstanding hotels are the focus of a new coffee table-style guidebook titled CHC Signatures. The sites were selected from among hundreds of privately owned establishments brought together under the Alain Ducasse Group-owned label Chateaux & Hotels Collection. The selection is divided into six categories: well-being, heritage, culinary, design, nature and urban. Each category is prefaced by a woman with an exemplary success story: Aliza Jabès (president of the NUXE skincare group), Catherine Pégard (president of the Château de Versailles), Julie Andrieu (food journalist and author), Sarah Lavoine (interior architect), Maud Fontenoy (sailor), and Sandrine Quétier (TV host). All share their personal vision of travel and offer some advice in the process. "Hospitality is an art form. Like any other work of art, hotels bear a distinct signature. Every address in the CHC Signatures collection embodies a unique style, that of the 'artisans-hôteliers' that brought them to life," explains Alain Ducasse, president of Châteaux & Hôtels Collection. The book offers a selection of 81 addresses in France, Italy, London and Marrakesh, including the Châteaubriand in Paris, the Byblos Art Hotel Villa Amistà in Verona, Italy, and the prestigious and exclusive Goring Hotel in London. The first (bilingual French-English) edition of CHC Signatures will go on sale on September 25 for €22. It can be purchased from the 81 establishments selected in the book, or on Chateauxhotels.com.
