Work is about to commence on a third DoubleTree Resort in Malaysia.
Set into a hillside in the northern beach area of Penang, the new resort will offer sea views and 318 rooms and suites when work is completed.
Hilton is working to redesign, refit and renovate an existing property on the site -- near the UNESCO World Heritage Site of George Town -- and expects the hotel to open its doors to luxury and business travelers in 2016. "Every aspect of this hotel is being thoughtfully designed to ensure our guests enjoy a world-class experience throughout their stay," said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.
Each room and suite will have its own balcony and the resort itself will offer three restaurants and bars as well as a gym, an outdoor pool and dedicated children's recreational area.
