Al Baleed Anantara Resort & Spa adjacent to Al Baleed World Heritage archeological site (Unesco) in Salalah, will be completed in the first quarter of 2015, as reported by Times of Oman. The development is a 50:50 joint venture between Omran and Musstir operated by Anantara (Minor Group). Cyril Piaia, chief executive of Musstir said, “The construction was started in January 2013 and is in on the right track. Structures of 44 chalets have already been completed and other works are going on.” The resort will encompass 30 rooms located in a central hotel building and 106 pool villas. These villas will include ten studio chalets, 87 one-bedroom chalets, 10 two-bedroom chalets and one three bedroom chalet. Besides, the resort will feature a health spa, recreational and function facilities, a library, and a speciality restaurant. The over-all cost of the project is estimated at around OMR5 million.
