Some of Farrell's pieces by Robbie Williams London - Arabstoday Our favourite British hit-maker has decided to put his other talent into action by following in the footsteps of his grandfather and designing his own menswear line. The label is named after Williams's grandfather Jack Farrell, aka Jack the Giant Killer, who was a notable dresser in his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent, and who lived a hard life but lived it well. The Farrell range was created to honour Jack's legacy and the brand motto is 'Wear it in, wear it out'. The Take That singer introduces his menswear label, Farrell, with a snappy but stylish video. 'It's ceremony, it's tradition, it's almost like magic,' Williams narrates in the video. 'There's that sort of knowing that you have about yourself just before you leave the house and you look in the mirror and you go, 'Yeah, I've got it completely right'. You've got your shirt in just a particular way. You're wearing your jacket in a particular manner. You've just taken an age on preparing your hair even though you don't want anybody to think you've taken an age with preparing your hair. It's your own unique style, you know, that only suits you. That's why you're putting all the effort in. It's saying something without being noticed. That's all in the aura that you put out.' Farrell clothes are intended to promote masculinity in any situation, so expect Brit classics for the debut Autumn/Winter 2011/12 collection such as the Harry Palmer-style Mac, ¾-length coat and cable-knit cardigan. Accessories include a Homberg, flat cap, cricket cap as well as polka dot silk scarves. But Farrell has provided for people who want to snuggle up at home too. Additionally, the range includes fleece jogging bottoms and a vintage-style sweatshirt. The autumn/winter 2011 the Farrell collection will be sold exclusively through House of Fraser and online at very.co.uk. Prices from £35 for a light weight T-shirt and go up to £350 for the ¾-length coat. To watch the first instalment in the Jack Farrell trilogy, visit www.farrell.com . From, Telegraph.co.uk.
