Singer and Designer Geri Halliwell London - Agencies Geri Halliwell has teamed up with clothing store Next and designed her own clothing line which she says can be worn to any up-market event. The former Spice Girl took to the catwalk earlier today to strut her stuff in one of her own red carpet ready gowns, where she unveiled her NEXT Red Carpet Collection at the Old Billingsgate Market in London. It appears that floor-length satin gowns are the theme of the six-dress collection and models were donned in black, scarlet, azure, mauve and oyster offerings. Speaking about her new line Geri said: ‘I’ve been sketching everything myself and I’m thrilled with the results. I’ve had the opportunity to make dresses that are not stupidly expensive but still elegant enough to wear to an upmarket event.’ She added: 'So excited to share my red carpet range with you! I designed it especially for real women, to make you feel fabulous for that special occasion, you deserve it. See you on the red carpet!' This is not Geri’s first time teaming up with the store. Last year, the singer launched a successful swimwear line with the company. The dress collection, which is said to be affordable, will be available from early October 2011 starting from £89 in sizes six to 22.
