The new generation of young viewers today may not be familiar with the YTT or the Young Talent Time television quest anymore, but good news, the show is back on air. YTT is show that would make many viewers realize that talent shows were done differently before - no mocking or any form of emotional cruelty to the contestants. Young Talent Time is like the Australian version of The Mickey Mouse Club in the US. It has helped launched the careers of now successful artists like Tina Arena, Debra Byrne, Jamie Redfern and a lot more. The usual format of the show featured teams doing cover pop songs complete with all the choreography and costume designs that are pretty much old fashioned now if you would view them way back. The show closes with everyone singing the classic 'All My Loving' song of the Beatles as Johnny Young and the rest of the participants bid Australia a pleasant night. It successfully shot a total of 800 episodes with Johnny Young as the host when it started in 1988, and now he stands as the executive producer of the revamped version of the show. This time though, he is passing his hosting task to former finalist of another hit television talent search 'Australian Idol,' Robb Mills. According to Young, the difference that YTT would make from the rest of the heavy programs that seem to become more and more intense as each season passes its capacity to offer well valued family entertainment. Young also thinks that Mills is just the right guy to take over as host and will be as charming as him during the golden days. Tina Arena will also serve as judge and mentor for this 2012 relaunch of the show, where she herself starred in when she was just a little kid. Preparations for the show began September of last year attracting about 30,000 young hopeful Aussies.
