Dubai - Arabstoday

For the first time in the UAE, stars of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will rumble in Abu Dhabi for three days starting on Thursday. Bringing the Raw World Tour to the capital for some in-ring action will be the company's current champions, which include superstars CM Punk, John Cena, Kane, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz and R-Truth. Despite being often referred to as "choreographed chaos", the mostly scripted wrestling bouts are hugely successful, broadcast to 500 million homes in 145 countries, including the UAE. Speaking earlier to tabloid!, Michael ‘The Miz' Gregory Mizanin said he was excited to come to Abu Dhabi. "I get to go to amazing places like here. It's incredible to perform in front of tens of thousands of people, whether they're booing you or cheering you," he said. Both Mizanin and Cena have also had successful runs in Hollywood as action stars. "I've gotten to do movies, I've gotten to do TV spots. I've gotten to do everything I ever could have dreamed of …" said Mizanin when asked what the best thing was about being a WWE wrestler. A publicly traded company, WWE owns two main brands, Raw and Smackdown, the former being its flagship brand. Each brand has more than 30 superstars.
