Liqaa Swidan: Zai el-Ward is purely Egyptian

Liqaa Swidan has denied reports that her series “Zai el-Ward” (Just Like Roses) was similar to Turkish dramas. She added that news like this would only undermine her work. The Egyptian star said to Arabstoday: “The series is now being filmed by director Mohamed Saad Hindawi.” She continued: “This series addresses a number of purely Egyptian problems that matter only to the ordinary Egyptian citizen.”
