Elektra is finally making her on-screen debut in the popular Netflix adaptation of Daredevil.
Marvel just announced that Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) has been cast for the second season of the series. Entertainment Weekly reports Elektra was referenced in the first season by Matt Murdock, who said things didn't work with a Greek Girl.
Elektra was featured in the 2003 feature film, and eventually got her own spin-off films. Yahoo reports Elektra is described as a mysterious woman from Murdock's past, who's dangerous and exotic ways may be too much for Murdock to handle.
Young's casting comes a month after the casting announcement of Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle known as The Punisher. Daredevil returns to Netflix next year for the its second season.
