U.S. television network CBS say it has ordered full seasons of its freshman series "Vegas" and "Elementary." Dennis Quaid plays a rancher-turned-sheriff in 1960s Nevada in "Vegas." Michael Chiklis and Jason O'Mara co-star. "Elementary" updates the iconic 19th century British private eye Sherlock Holmes as a modern-day sleuth working in New York City. Jonny Lee Miller plays Holmes and Lucy Liu plays Dr. Joan Watson, his partner in crime-solving. "'Vegas' and 'Elementary' have opened strong, delivering big audiences and winning performances in important time periods," Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement Tuesday. "Each of the shows has rich characters, big stars and a unique visual style that have stood out in the crowd, helping make two of our strongest nights even stronger."
