U.S. cable network AMC says it has ordered two new unscripted original shows -- "Untitled Taxidermy Series" and "Venice Beach Freakshow." "Untitled Taxidermy Series" is a competition show in which contestants create art using the craft of taxidermy. "Venice Beach Freakshow" is a family drama about former music producer Todd Ray, who is pursuing his dream to own and operate his own freakshow on the famed boardwalk in Venice Beach, Calif. "Behind the marquee of the 'Venice Beach Freakshow' is an extended family drama that shows what it takes to give up everything and pull together to make a family business a success," Joel Stillerman, AMC's executive vice president of original programming, production and digital content, said in a statement. "'Untitled Taxidermy Series' features the art-form of taxidermy, which can be as outrageous and shocking as it is beautiful." AMC also announced Thursday the renewal of "The Pitch," an unscripted series that chronicles advertising agencies as they prepare campaigns to try and win a major new account. "Season 1 of 'The Pitch' captured the intensity of the advertising world and provided the ultimate behind-the-scenes look at the compelling and dramatic pitch process. We are so pleased to work again with Studio Lambert on the show's return," Stillerman said.
