Egyptian Tour Guide Ahmed Mohamed revealed that fishing is one of the major factors to attract tourists from all over the world, especially fishing trips in Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada and Marsa Matrouh. He stressed that the Arab tourists are the most people who love this kind of tourism through which they get to know the types of fish and new ways of fishing.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, “Such trips will be aboard a small yacht, featuring all supplies and needs, in agreement with the Coast Guard.” He revealed that these trips have a specific schedule and have a specific hunting environment.
He continued that there is a group of Arab and foreign countries where this type of tourism has increased. In the Arab countries, he added, it flourished in Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, and in the Gulf countries, such as Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
He added that it has developed in Latin American countries, such as Mexico, Cuba and Uruguay, as well as East Asia, such as the Philippines, which is known for its rare species of fish, Thailand and Indonesia.
He pointed out that tourists are interested in Egypt, because of its distinguished location, where groups come each year to practice their hobby in diving and fishing, and eat what was caught fish. He pointed out that the Arab countries have to establish nature reserves for fish, which are safer, to be tourist attractions to bring a lot of hard currency.
